Instead of playing from a stage, we move through the crowd with acoustic instruments. We sing, play and chat with guests as we go, and people often join in. It lifts the atmosphere quickly and works in spaces where a stage and speakers would not.

What is a roving jazz band?
A roving jazz band plays while walking through your event instead of staying on a stage. The musicians move among your guests, play to the room and talk with people along the way, so the music reaches everyone, not only the people near a stage.
What kinds of events suit a roving jazz band?
Roving works best where people are standing, mingling or arriving: corporate functions and conference arrivals, council activations, festivals and markets, street events, wedding receptions and drinks, and private parties with plenty of room to move.
Do you need a stage or power?
No. Our roving lineups are fully acoustic, so there is no stage, PA or power to organise. We just need room to move and a sense of where you would like the music to start and finish.
How many musicians do we need for a roving performance?
A trio or quartet suits most corporate events, weddings and smaller venues. Five to eight musicians suit large crowds, big sites and parades. For very large sites we can also run more than one ensemble at the same time. Tell us the venue and guest numbers and we will suggest the right size.
How much does a roving jazz band cost in Adelaide?
Our roving trio starts from $1,300 for up to two hours in metropolitan Adelaide, with larger bands priced on our Pricing & FAQ page. Regional events are priced by travel time from the Adelaide CBD.
Do you perform outside metropolitan Adelaide?
Yes. We regularly perform across South Australia, including the Barossa, Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu. Regional pricing is based on travel time from the CBD, and our regional pricing guide explains how it works.
