Especially popular for milestone birthdays, ASB has played at 21^st, 30^th, 40^th, 50^th, 60^th, 70^th and even 80^th birthday parties. We’re yet to do a 90^th or 100^th birthday party so please reach out if you’d like to surprise your grandparents (or great-grandparents) with some music from their childhood.

We can offer:

Acoustic (un-powered) line-ups, ideal for garden parties and giving the flexibility of relocating around the party.
Amplified line-ups, which can include electric piano, double bass (with amp), and can make use of a PA system for vocals. If you have power available this can be a great option and we can still keep the volume to an ideal level for you and your guests to mingle and chat.

Memorable Family Events

For one client’s family we played their Mum’s 50th, then 3 family weddings, followed by Mum’s 60th. Funnily enough, it took us 10 years to fulfill the request by Hoa, one of the grooms (and son-in-law) for a traditional jazz version of Electric Dreams which we surprised him with at the 60th birthday.

We’ve also played Pam’s 60th birthday → a 1920s themed celebration with guests dressed as flappers, drinking from teacups in a nod to Prohibition-era speakeasies. A decade later, we played her daughter Alex’s garden party wedding at the same address — see our Garden Parties page →.
