This policy explains how Atlantic Street Band (“we”, “us”, “ASB”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit atlanticstreetband.com or engage us for an event.

What we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Your name, email address and phone number, when you submit an enquiry or booking through our contact form
Details about your event — date, venue, event type and any other information you choose to share with us to help us quote and plan
Correspondence between us (emails, messages) relating to your booking
Basic website usage data collected automatically when you browse our site (see Cookies and analytics below)

We don’t collect payment details through our website. [If tips are paid via PayID/bank transfer directly through your own banking app rather than through the site, note that no card or account information passes through atlanticstreetband.com.]

How we use it

We use your information to:

Respond to enquiries, provide quotes, and arrange bookings
Communicate with you about your event before, during and after it takes place
Keep basic business records (for accounting and insurance purposes)

We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

Marketing, publicity and event references

As part of promoting our work, we often reference events we’ve performed at — on our website, in case studies, on social media, and in materials shared with prospective clients. This may include a client, venue or organisation’s name, a general description of the event, and photos or video taken while we performed.

For public events (festivals, council events, public performances), we treat this as standard promotional practice.

For private engagements — weddings, birthdays and other personal celebrations — we’re always happy to keep your booking confidential, or leave identifying details and photos out of what we publish, if you’d prefer. Just let us know at the time of booking or at any point afterwards, and we’ll respect it. Unless you tell us otherwise, we’ll take it that you’re comfortable with us referencing our work together as described above.

Who we share it with

We may share limited information with:

Service providers who help us run our business — for example Relentless Hosting — solely to help us deliver our services, not for their own marketing use
Regulators or authorities, if we’re legally required to

Some of these providers may store data on servers outside Australia (for example, if you use Google Workspace, Gmail, or US-based hosting). Where that’s the case, your information may be handled overseas as part of that provider’s normal operations.

Cookies and website analytics

Our website may use cookies and tools such as Google Analytics and WordPress analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. This data is generally anonymous/aggregated and isn’t used to personally identify you. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well as a result.

How we protect your information
