The Atlantic Street Band formed in 2007 and have since been entertaining in SA and interstate.
If you like Louis Armstrong and Jungle Book's "King of the Swingers" you're in for a treat. Playing an infectious mix of traditional New Orleans music and jazz interpretations of some popular songs by the likes of Green Day, Spandau Ballet, and Barry White, the Atlantic Street Band never fail to get feet tapping and hands clapping. ASB has been around for over ten years and appears frequently at festivals and events around SA.
Some past events include the Melbourne Jazz Festival, Womadelaide, Tour Down Under, Mt Barker's "Hoot! Jazz Festival" and numerous events for councils in and around Adelaide.
Chris Weber, the leader of Atlantic Street Band is one of Adelaide's most in-demand session trumpeters having performed with visiting artists such as Michael Feinstein (USA), Caroline Nin (FRA), Noel Galagher (UK), Sinkane (USA) as well as touring and recording with Australian groups including Hilltop Hoods, K21, The Transatlantics, and Shaolin Afronauts.
